Paterniti Tactical Shooting System
The Hubbard City Police Department will be hosting this seven-day class which will give officers the opportunity to receive certification in auto pistol, revolver or both. Officers needing only one certification, i.e. pistol or revolver, will attend five days of the seven day class.  However, those needing both will be required to attend the entire seven day class. The schedule will be as follows: Auto pistol only, days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Revolver only, days 1, 2, 3, 6, 7. Auto Pistol & Revolver, days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. ( Certification for both will require all seven days } Hours: 08:00 to 17:00 hrs. daily August 24, 2015 to September 1, 2015   This is not a beginner's course! Students should have a working knowledge of basic handgun techniques.  Topics include:  Range Protocols, Procedures and Safety, Basic and Advanced Shooting Techniques, Lead and Hearing Issues and Correcting "The Problem Shooter."  This course meets the OPOTC/OPOTA requirements for approval as an in-service Re-qualification and/or Peace Officer Basic Training Firearms Instructor.

Shooting To Live THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR THE BEGINNING OR NOVICE SHOOTER!  Shooting to Live is a two day comprehensive tactical shooting class designed to give you the tactical edge.  All successful shooting is based on the fundamentals and this class will be no exception to this universal truth.  It will elevate your shooting skills and give you the confidence to deal with a deadly force confrontation.  Day one:  08:00 to 12:00 – 12:30 to 16:30 1. Firearms safety and related 2. Equipment and related 3. Fundamentals of Marksmanship 4. Conscious/Subconscious mind and how it works. 5. Human reaction time and Reactive Shooting. 6. BINOCULAR SHOOTING! 7. The Tactical Applications of  The Shooting Fundamentals a. Executing the draw (with positions and presentation) b. Reactive Sighted Shooting versus Point Shooting c. Trigger manipulation d. Pistol Transition e. Left is Right 8. Range:  Live fire drills, 300 rnds.   Day two:  08:00 to 12:00 – 12:30 to 16:30 1. Review, day one 2. Reloading the pistol to include: a. Administrative Reload and its importance! b. Emergency Reload – Magazine Placement c. Magazine Exchange and the Tactical “V!” 3. Flashlight and it’s use 4.  Range:   Live fire drills, 500 rnds. Needed: a. Combat Tactics (What to do and why) b. Advance and Withdraw to Cover c. Shooting Behind Cover                         Participants will need the following:  Pistol or revolver and strong-side draw holster of good quality. Three magazines or speed loaders with proper carrier and 800 rounds of ammunition. A good quality tactical flashlight is needed, similar to the Surefire Z2-LED Combat light.  Eye and full cover hearing protection are requied.   Any questions should be directed to ptssllc.Net via our contact form.  All inquirers will be answered ASAP.

This course is directed to officers seeking operational skills and/or instructional skills for the police rifle or carbine. Instruction focuses on: firearms safety, administrative procedure, operational procedure, tactical shooting skills, and instructional methods. Successful completion of the course satisfies OPOTC weapon specific requirements for police rifle carbine re-qualification instructor certification. Extended training hours are required. This course meets part of the OPOTC requirements for approval as an in-service Re-qualification and/or Peace Officer Basic Training Firearms Instructor.
